Smile Dead pedal and slow transmission engage?

I own a 2003 F-250 PSD and I also drive a 2003 F-350 PSD that my company furnishes me to drive. My 250 since the day I got it(around 3 months ago)has had a "dead spot" in the throttle pedal. When you push it down, it doesn't do anything until it is pressed approx. 1/4" or so. The company truck I drive doesn't do this. Also, when I back out, stop, put it into drive, it doesn't engage very quick. If I am in a hurry, I get a CLUNK if I mash the throttle pedal too soon. Again, my company truck doesn't do this. Any ideas, besides taking it to the dealer(which I am going to do this week because of the Recall 04S15).

You will probably get it flashed which, if you have it, will take away the Pilot Injection...
to me, these are two small things NOT worth getting the truck flashed... and losing PI and some mpg....

However, if you want to fix the dead pedal without getting it flashed AND get better mpg and MUCH better performance, I'd recomend you call the motrhaven staff here and order the Diablo Predator !!!

I'm new to all this. Does using the Diablo Predator mess with your warranty? And how long should you wait before you start doing mods to the engine? I only have around 5500 miles on the truck so far. You also said something about calling the MotorHaven staff "here". Where is "here"?

What about your warranty? I sure don't want to mess that up!
