Idle Speed Revs When AC On

98 ranger 2.5L 147k miles- AC on stresses engine (revs engine up), if I turn the AC off and the engine off, truck won't start immediately. Already had idle speed control replaced.

I have the same problem of my engine reving up with the ac on at idle, I do not know what it is

Welcome to FTE!

How high is it revving up? The PCM is programmed to kick up the rpms a little bit when the A/C is on in order to adjust for the additional load.
