'91 wont start! HELP!

Ok heres what happens. I turn the key to start the truck, nothing, and i mean nothing happens, the key turns all the way. Nothing. The warning lights go on very very dimly (they normally all flash when u start the car normally). Thats it. i take out they key and turn on the headlights, and they are VERY VERY dimly lit. Most electronic things wont work. So i turn the key back and forth in the ignition for like 5 minutes, even holding it in the 'start' position for awhile, occasionally hearing some clicking under the hood, but mostly dead silence, then after a while , out of the blue, it starts up normally, like nothing ever happened. I need help because i want to sell this truck, but need to fix this problem first. Thanks...

Sounds to me like either a bad battery cable, or a bad connection at the battery cable.

yeah that deffinetly sounds like a bad battery connection to me. disconnect the terminals and clean them real good, they also sell a jelly type compound that you can put on the terminals to keep them from becoming corroded, i've seen it at sears but im sure you can get it at any auto parts store
