HI everyone ! for you those few who do not know who i am i am opie
i live in burlington iowa , which is in the se part of the state. i drive a semi truck hauling sheetrock and steel during the week. I have a 1970 f250 camper special, that is currently waiting for me to put my new 390 back into, gotta find the time soon, wife is tired of running me around. I was born here in burlington but i have lived in many places and i have friends all over the world including iraq. being raised in a military family will do that for you. I have built many hotrods most of them being chevys. i find old cars and restore them and tweak them and seem to sell them just as they get done. but it keeps me busy finding new projects. i found my first ford truck about 2 years ago, and being a confused bowtie lover i was soon lost. This forum saved me from giving up. i am happy we finnaly have our own place here. this is a good day.

I'm Luke. Born in Cedar Rapids, finished growing up in Victor, IA (Felro should know where that's at)... Moved to Ames to go to ISU in 1995.. Still here, working for the university. I got a house here this year, so I suppose that means I'm stuck here for a little while anyway. My pickup is a 1994 F150 XLT (302 engine, 4R70W transmission, 2wd, regular cab, long box)... I never thought I'd own a Ford, after owning mostly Volvo 240s and a couple VWs in college-present.. Lo and behold, I love the pickup, and won't ever be without one, and my current lineup is a 1998 diesel Beetle, my 94 F150, and a 1954 Ford Mainline 4 door sedan...
Cars seem to come and go a lot at my place, but as of late with the house purchase, I'm kinda settling down and all the vehicles I have now are nice enough I'm not wanting to constantly get rid of them.

Heya , Jim from Adel here. Pushing 46 with over 23 years with the Postal Service.
The other half & I do Civil War Reenacting with the Army of the Southwest (Iowa based).
Got a 78 F100 Ranger XLT 400 C-6 longbed that looks and runs like a raped ape!
Just got it back from DC Muffler in Dallas Center. True duel exhaust and turbos hooked up to the headers behind the freshly rebuilt engine.
It may look like a beater , but it'll smoke a Lexus from a stop light!
Still looking for some guys (and gals) to come to the 1st night football game at Drake U. in DSM in 43 years and 10 mnths. Sept. 11th and do some tailgating before the 7:00 PM kickoff. Tickets are a lousy $10 each and they love tailgaters just hide the beer when secruity comes around.(free off street parking)
Hopefull my carriage builder down in Bloomfield will have my cannon ready in time for the game and folks will see it spit fire with each Bulldog score!

Howdy, y'all. I'm Jason Owen from Solon. I was born and raised in Texas (hook 'em & go ags - depends on who's higher in the polls...just beat OU). My kick-*** wife is from IC, IA. I love it here. My partner is a 1966 SWB that has had many incarnations of motorvation in the ye olde engine bay; currently a .040 over 302 with 10:1 compression, very mild cam, 4bbl, headers yada yada.
It's a long beautiful love story of a boy, his grandaddy, and a pickup on how I came not to own, but become the caretaker for the old fella. I'll tell y'all about it sometime - it's a doozy. Maybe somebody'll start a thread on how we came to own these glorious machines.......
