emcee is starting off with a positive reputation.
85 300 mid throttle bog

85 300 6 cyl. Runs pretty good when barely pressing the accellerator. Has an inconsistent bad miss and loses power when pressing the accellerator half way. If I continue to press the accellerator almost to the floor, it smooths out and runs great - takes off and hardly misses.

The carburetor was loose when I got it, could it be a bad gasket under the carb?

i would check all your vacum lines pull the carb and look for a gasket and then check your plugs my 85 did a similar trick becuase of bad plugs

Fixed

It was the accelerator cable - a new one fixed it.
