How to remove oil pan?

I have a 1988 Bronco 302. I need to remove my oil pan. What usually needs to be done to remove it? Thanks!

A search will give you all the info that you need. I have not done mine yet but the easiest way is to raise the motor so you can lift the pan etc... out more easily but some say that you can replace the gasket as it is but with some PATIENCE and time. Like I said. search and you will find quiet a few good posts on the subject.

Good luck,

I had tried a search and all I could get was on how to remove and replace the gasket. I need to know how to get the pan clear out of there so I can replace the pump. I am in the middle of it now and no luck. I pulled off the upper intake, exhaust, motor mounts, the pan itself, and still I do not have enough room to get it out. Is there anyone who has done this already that can give me any tips? Thanks!
