evil64 is starting off with a positive reputation.
C-6 Trouble

My tranny dosent engage unless I put it in first gear and give it some gas. If I just put it in drive it will just sit there like its in nuetral. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

hdgapeach is starting off with a positive reputation.
Fluid level first. Fluid and filter change after that. While you have the pan off for the filter change, you might as well remove the valve body and give it a good cleaning and air check. Adjust the band to specs. Do a vacuume check on the modulator valve and check the vacuum hose that is connected to it (all of it, from the valve to the engine). When all the general maintenance is completed, if you still have the same problems, repost for more possibilities.
