stock hood/front fenders/bedsides VS fiberglass in WEIGHT
I'm wondering where I could find how much the stock hood, front fenders, and rear fenders (bedsides) on my `95 F150 short bed weigh, and how much their fiberglass counterparts may weigh. I would like to replace them all with fiberglass and want to know how much weight I could lose.

Without taking them off and weighing them, we won't know. I had done some calling around, and talking to various friends, and for the most part, I was repeatedly told there wouldn't be any significant weight savings. The best I could ballpark (hood, fenders, bed) is I'd save about 200lbs on my 6997lb crewcab. Certainly not worth the time and expense to replace all these parts for a mere 200lbs considering what the vehicle weighs. I can compensate that with a little cam, etc.
What is cool about fiberglass is it never rusts. And as we all know, looking at our wheel wells, Fords like to rust. But with aftermarket fenders being plentiful, that is going to be the route I go. Cheap, easy to paint, bolt on, etc.
Just not too many "interesting" aftermarket shapes and such in stamped steel. I'd like slightly wider front fenders, myself.
