Man, I love the thought of diesel\electric. No tranny, just that great engine, a monster alternator and batteries and a big electric transaxle. Quite in town and a monster under load. And don't pick on Wolfee, he's just young and he uses "like" for periods.

If you look at the way we spell, and how poorly most of us type, you'll see we're just funnin'. I don't even remember being 23, except that's when I married my first ex-wife. That's where the expression "young and stupid" came from.

Yeah, i know we are all cool young and, old. having a good balance of people is what makes this site so informative. we get to hear things from differenet perspectives. Now about BioDiesel, i saw a special on the news about 3 days ago talking about a guy who was friends with a fast food owner and collected all his vegetable oil into a 100 gallon tank in his bed. Filters it and uses it straight. Runs on regular diesel to start switches over to vegetable oil and then before he stops switches it back. Very cool. He said he has been doing it for about 80,000 miles now and runs great. it was a 2001 7.3L. He also said he gets as good or better MPG, and smells good to.

Hijudge,

Over on www.biodieselnow.com, they have a thread on a diesel electric hybrid motocycle. Over at the dieselstop, there was a thread about a diesel motorcycle that the US Marines are using, availble for civilian purchase. Either one of these will use bio quite nicely, and be great for the enviornment.

Since you're taking notes, no space before a comma and it should go after "well."

OMCSUNR, I'm not that concerned about the environment (or else I'd be driving around in a Honda or Toyota hybrid instead of this big diesel rig), I just love the sound of a diesel electric locomotive. They are just so neat when they spool up. Although a diesel bike would be neat....

Old age, cunning and experience beats youth and enthusiasm every time.

My variation of that is, "Old age and treachery will always outdo youth and ambition!"
Works for me.
