well i wont be making the montana meet and greet. mtflatt got to meet me though that was good, i got rid of my pretty blue kenworth and now i am going local just hauling sheetrock to chicago and st louis. so no more trips to montana for me. i do enjoy them but i gotta be closer to home for my kids sake. sorry i never got to meet you matt, but i did try lol. maybe mtflatt when your cruising the 48 back to ohio you can cut south and come to my house, i will even BBQ lol , i owe you at least that. At least i will have more time on here again, but still cant get my old screenname to work. Oh well i like this one too. you guys have a great meet.

Wow, the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Congrats! But now I really wish one of us had remembered to bring a camera when we met up. It was great to meet you and I'm glad the tailgate went to someone who could use it. No sense it just sitting here under a pile of stuff.
I'll keep you in mind whenever I make the trip to OH. Iowa is about the 1/2 way point- just about right for a BBQ break. Only reason I quit running the southern routes (I-70) was cause the pavement used to be a whole lot worse. That rhythmic ca-thunk ca-thunk ca-thunk is magnified with a straight axle up front! Nobody uses 94, but then I have to go around the Windy City
being a trucker i can direct you on friendly routes to bypass the windy and not lose a minute of time, i will dig out the map when you stop by and set you off on a great smooth ride talk to you later

And the meet slowly waffles away to nothingness. Oh well...guess I don't have to have my buddy bust his butt getting the logo ready for shirts.
Congrats on the new job....it's always better to be closer to home and with the family. I had thought about a trucker job, but then as quickly forgot about it. I'm too much of a home boy...and I HATE traffic.

oh traffic isnt as bad as some people say it is. once you get used to it , it is just like driving a country road on a warm summer day. i dont even notice the chicago traffic anymore, and LA isnt that bad as long as it isnt hard core rush hour. and if you beleive all of this i got a perfect set of 390 heads to sell you cheap. lol i hate driving over the road, the daily stress and the being away from home sucks. it isnt just being away from my family that causes me to hate it so much, it is the fact that it erases any part of you besides driving that truck. your life becomes your job, your job becomes your life. thats the reason i hate it, at least now although i still drive a truck, i get to be home most nights and all weekends so now it is just what i do for a living instead of how i am living

man can I empathise with the statements about running OTR, I ran 38 states, and ended up divorced over it, got remarried ran the midwest regional almost got divorced again but after 10yrs finally found me a gravy run, dedicated run I go from Chariton IA. to Peoria IL drop, and hook and back everyday very little traffice (take off at 2am home at 10:30am) home everyday, weekends, and all holidays, plus they make me take a new truck all the time. it's a rough life but someone has to do it.

As stated in the logo thread, my bud is still working on it. Turns out, he's slower than the 7 year itch, but when he's done, it's good work. I actually hate putting bumper stickers on anything I drive, but may figure out a way to make a mount on my tool box for the logo, etc. Just something else I haven't thought much about yet.
