Red face Dumb Newbie Question

Hi Guys,

Okay, okay...so I'm new...and I don't know all that much about engines and stuff... I have a 2000 F-350 V10.

I don't race the truck, but I do kinda have a lead foot. I only haul heavy loads every now and then. I rarely tow anything heavier than a cement mixer. My question is this...what is the modification I can make to my engine, intake, or exhaust that will benefit everyday driving? Perhaps increase acceleration from those pesky SoCal freeway onramp stoplights.

I don't want to spend several grand on a supercharger, but I can afford to spend up to $1000.

Thanks!
reguy
