I've got a 3 month old 2002 Explorer Sport. Both rear push out windows have leaked when it rains since I purchased the vehicle. Local Ford garage replaced both window gaskets 3 weeks ago. Passenger side window still leaks heavily, to the point that the entire rear carpet is under water. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

 

I've got a 2001 sport that leaks. Ford thinks it is the rear tailgate window seal leaking. It will be replaced tomorrow night, I suggest you have Ford check that. The cargo area carpet gets soaked through, but it's never so much that you can tell the whole carpet is "under water"

 

I've got a 2001 SPort and have yet to see it leak. Sorry I can't help....

 

Thanks for the info. Did finally get the problem fixed. Turns out that the roof rails were not properly installed. Water was getting under the gasket and leaking down through the bolt hole in the roof. The water was collecting by the rear push out windows, so naturally everyone assumed that the window gaskets were the culprit.
