2000 Explorer

My 2000 Explorer keeps dying out when i first start it up, i have to step on the gas real quick to keep it going...it only does it sometimes though..anyone have any ideas? i was thinking maybe throttle sensor or something?...but i dont know anything about the Explorers lol so im probably wrong? any help would be appreciated

Take a look at "IAC repair help" at the top of the forum.

I had the same problem with my 2000 explorer v8.It was the IAC as mentioned above.It would not hold idle,but would stall out unless you held
the gas pedal down.Hope this helps.
