https://www.ford-trucks.com/lc/lc.ph...3d800a837f.jsp There u go guys. Its about halfway down that page. Its the throttle valve adjustment section. The guide for the cable is right under it. Hope you find what you need.

hey, no problem ! i have two trucks with those rods. They're really not that un-common. They're pretty much on the earlier model year trucks, and mostly the 302's. Although my 351W has one too. Either way, good luck on those adjustments

That could burn up the overdrive band, the direct clutch, the intermediate clutch, etc.

Just bumping this thread...the link above is dead, can anyone point me to that info or give advice on tv rod info and adjustment???
Vehicle I have is a 84 Club Wagon XL with 302 and early AOD tranny...door sticker says vin code T under the trans type...which led me to a a4ld BUT after looking at tranny it's an AOD 14 bolt square pan
Problem is trans will not shift out of 1st...1st and reverse are strong, no slippage...van sat for 6mos or more...have heard to clean governor and drop pan and make sure everything is hooked up...
Any help appreciated

Why do you think the TV linkage needs adjustment? Was it fiddled with? If not, did the trans work correctly before sitting?

As for the how-to, Google is your friend. Billions of hits. Just copy and paste:
