I thought since it was about 10 years since I was the 3rd post in this thread I'd share some newer pictures. 60k more miles, new motor, new interior, new wood in the bed, new paint, and lots of new metal underneath. She's no longer my daily driver, but she's probably nicer than ever.

Thanks!

It's actually an old Bestop brand tonneau. About 10 years ago I scoured ebay until I found one still in the box but they were discontinued then. I'd like to find another, I've taken it off every winter but it still has a few small splits in it now. When the time comes I'll probably just have a trim shop make a new one to fit the snaps already in the bed.

Well, I bought another one. I've had my eye on this truck for a few years. The PO is moving and the Missus says the truck couldn't go with them. I ended up getting a great deal on it. She's an '86 XL with a 5-oh fuelie and an AOD. Planning to put a 460 and C6 in it someday.

I traded the roll bar for a case of beer before I even cleaned out the cab haha. It's all original with 231,000 km's on it. I guess that's about 140k miles. Still has the smog pump hooked up which is an oddity around here.

Here is my restored '81 F-100 painted in Viper red. 300-6 three speed. Truck was originally light blue with a dark blue plain jane interior, three on the tree. Dealer installed AC. I still need too add a couple of interior trim pieces (lazy). Just got my refurbished wheels on it not too long ago.

How was the bars mounted in the truck? Been thinking about doing roll bars on mine but I dont want the bars to sit ontop of the bed rails as I will be using stainless steel bed rails.
