They have one of those John Deere engines sitting on the stand at the diesel shop across the street. Seems pretty wild. Its got a price tag of darn near $25K, although I don't know the exact price.
Mid 70's F250 highboy lifted with 38" tires. 530cid ford stroker with edelbrock aluminum heads and manifold. backed by the 4 speed rock crusher tranny. 1 7/8" headers into dual 3" exhaust and walker race magnum mufflers. Good ole fashoned carburation with no smog controls.
2nd choice :1975 Dodge ramcharger with dual dana 60's powered by a 500+ inch wedge and 4 speed rock crusher trans. also shod with 38" tires.

A 2000 Dodge Dakota 2wd extened cab long bed with a Viper engine and a viper tranny and a racing suspension oh never mind my cousin already did that. He mounted the engine where the stock one did he moved the body back about 3 inch and got a short bed to put on it. So it came out to be a ext. short bed. It sat about 4 inch off the ground and spent about $20,000. $10,000 for the engine and $5,000 for the tranny they came out of a total car and $5,000 for the suspension.
And a guy at work put a 454c.i. in a 1998 gmc sonoma reg. cab lond bed and then came out to a short bed.
how bout an ecsort 4dr 4x4 38"swampers 302ho 5.13w/lockers just spent the last 1/2hour tryin to figure out how to put a pic on here but it just dont work lol
I've always wanted a Yates NASCAR engine for my Thunderbird. I know it's not wild, based on what I've seen here, but I'm a simple man. All I need is 700hp, a four-speed, and a 9" locker. That's not too much to ask, right?

Okay... start with one of those rediulously sick International Pickups (name escapes me at the moment) Drop in...not just one...BUT 2 V-10's (side by side like on that old hot wheels car) Chrome everything but put ford flake blue accents on the headers turbos and carb assembly. As if it wasnt enough power...put twin bottles on em. Then rip off the hood and sides like in those old roadsters and just have this mean lookin chrome grill staring back at you. Lower the front end down on airbags. Take off the dually config, Lower the back on airbags also and put ohhhhhh get some custom slicks in the back to wrap around 28in rims. Paint it all pearl white with blue checkerd flags goin down the side...And for an exhaust....i say...TO HELL WITH IT...IN TEXAS WE THROW DOWN STRAIGHTS!
When I had my chevy half-ton, I had joked about rebuilding the 4.3 v6 in it, and then dropping in a monster cam that would give an idle lope that would scare an alky dragster off. Of course, it would have the performance to back it up, but wouldn't that be wild.
Pull up to a stoplight, that engine just loping right along and a guy comes up next to you.
"What you got in that thing, a big block?"
"Nah, V6"
Then you leave a 50-foot scratch from both tires.
Not the hod-roddiest thought, but definitely unique, right?

This one, I probably will actually build in the next year or two. The wife needs a new car. I've always loved the Taurus SHO. But our current Taurus sedan gets packed to the gills when we take the kids somewhere. So we need a wagon (I will NOT buy a minivan). So take one Taurus wagon that has kissed a tree, cross it with a rear-ended SHO, and you get budget super grocery-getter.
I always liked the idea of an old Courier pickup, with a Turbo Coupe drivetrain.
Does this count as and engine swap? I've found plans to install a Ford 3.8 v-6 into a Piper Pacer (that's an airplane, for those of you who confine your dreams to the ground).
