"Best" rubber fuel line for hiboy......??

.................Was inspecting the 3/8th's fuel hose going from my "behind the seat" fuel tank in my 77 hiboy up to the fuel regulator and it has Cracks all up and down the full length . This hose was bought NEW and it has Gates name on the outside....Has anybody else had a similiar experience ?? I'm not talking about nor am I interested in METAL fuel line. Isn't there a brand of fuel line that is quality made that should last 5 years or so without cracking??? any recommendations???....s.kuteman

That's odd, Gates is supposed to be one of the best hoses out there. GoodYear may make some, I know that they make some belts and radiator hoses.

May want to give Russell Twist-Lok hose a look. Summit has it and for a reasonable price.

Hope this helps...

if you insist on rubber hose, buy rubber hose for Fuel Injected Applications.

Its about 3 times the cost of regular rubber hose, but it is 10% alcohol tolerent and made to withstand a constant 40 PSI. so it lasts a lot longer in a regular application.
