Checked my VIN was surprised

I thought I'd look at my build date on my truck last night to see how old my truck was. I bought my truck at the end of April. It was manufactured 4/04. I thought that was pretty neat to just go pick a random F-250 off a dealers lot where they literally had dozens of them similarly equipped and get one so new. This is my third "new" vehicle and both of the previous ones were 4-8 months old from their build date when I bought them. Just gave me a warm tingly feeling inside.

I just picked up my new truck on Saturday 7/10. The sticker in the door jam says it was built 5/04. I was glad to see it was a late 2004 model.

My X was built October 15. I bought it November 2.

Must have just gotten off the truck a day or two before.

What's the big deal? It is sill an 04 and does not mater if it was built in 03 it is not worth any think more than one built yesterday if the miles are the same.

Newer cars are fresher. Haven't you heard car dealers talking about the "fresh" inventory they just got in?

You wouldn't buy "old" meat would you?
