What is the exact width of a '53 bed?

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I need to know the exact dimension of the inside of the bed. My truck didn't come with a bed and for planning purposes I need to know how wide it is. I'm assuming it's about 4 feet wide but I would like to have a more specific dimension.

Thanks for your help - Brad
