Towing capacity of 1993 F-350 7.5L EFI Dually CrewCab?
Hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can help me get an idea of the towing capacity of my 1993 F-350 7.5L Dually CrewCab. I'm thinking about buying a new trailer, and these specs would be helpful. I don't have the owner guide
Thanks,
WackyPacky

With a 460 engine and 4.10 axle ratio, the truck's GCWR (rating for combined wieght of both truck and trailer together) should be around 16,500 lbs. If your truck wieghs 7000 lbs, that leaves 9500 lbs left for the trailer. My '92 F350 CrewCab 4x4 Single Rear Wheel truck usually weighs around 6500 lbs without a load in the bed. A 3.55 axle ratio reduces the GCWR by a significant amount (something like 2000 lbs).
To find your axle ratio, look on your VIN sticker on the driver's door frame and there should be an axle code.
For 8250 lbs axles, code '65' is a 4.10 open diff, '69' is a 3.55 open diff, 'F5' is a 4.10 limited-slip diff, and 'W5' is a 3.55 limited-slip diff.
For 7400 lbs axles, code '45' is a 4.10 open diff, '49' is a 3.55 open diff, and 'D5' is a 4.10 limited-slip diff.
