Hunting Draws

Well I found out the other day that I got drawn to go elk hunting this fall for the sixth year in a row. I got shut out on antelope, oryx and special deer though. I'm ready to go right now.

Do you all have hunting draws in your area ? If so any success?

Our camp sends in 6 applications every year for moose.
in the last 10 years we've gotten 3 tags for Adult Moose.
Oh well.. my theory is that if you get a tag, they expect you to actually hunt!
Besides, there are alot of cheaper ways to fill a freezer than to hunt for it!

here in colorado you have to draw for deer and cow elk, we have so many elk however if you get a draw for a cow elk you can still go buy a bull elk tag over the counter. i got both my cow and buck deer draw. so this year, if i get real lucky i will bring home a nice bull, a cow, and a nice buck....yea right

I've been applying for the elk draw since I was old enough, still haven't pulled one. Got a Turkey tag about 5 years ago, haven't been lucky enough to get a bear tag either. Deer are plentiful in MI, so I try to take it out on them, he he. It hasn't been going my way for a couple years now though. I need eyes in the back of my head.

Just like wlihntr, I drew a buck tag and a cow tag and will buy a bull tag. Just like wlihntr I too expect to bag one of each......ha. My wife and kid each drew a cow, but no buck.

Wlihntr, where do you hunt? I am in unit 68, same since '73 or so.

I threw in for everything but sheep, bear, cougar, and Merriam's turkey.

Hopefully I get drawn for everything, but at least something. Should find out in a month or so.

Gotta put the new FTE approved rifle/scope/bipod combo to work.
