Hello All,

I own a 94 Econoline Van with a 300 cid 6 cyl engine. I have hard starting when the van is cold or sits about a few hours or so. When I turn the key it sounds like the fuel pump makes a loud whine, but goes away when it starts.

I have replaced the spark plugs, new air cleaner, added high concentration of fuel injection cleaner. new fuel filter. No trouble codes and it runs fine when running.New motor too. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

Get a fuel pressure guage, and check your fuel pressure. That whineing sound could be from a bad pump.
