Reasonable price for a used plow

I know this will be area specific but generally I need to know what a fair price for a 12 yr old western snow plow would be. The one I am looking at used to be on a Jeep CJ with a homemade carrier so basically, I get the plow and hydraulic unit but the carrier will need to either be purchased or built entirely. This gentleman wants $1500 CDN or around $1000 US.
Is this too much?

Without knowing the condition of the plow, that seams kinda expensive. The mount and wiring harness will run you $500.00 plus from Western. Being it is off A Jeep, it is probably A 6.5 blade. A new plow is only in the $2600.00 range. Check the blade for rust at the lower cross angle. (people lay the blade down for the summer and they collect water there. Check the A frame to Quadrant hole.(3/4 bolt, 6" back from the center of the blade) see if the hole is egg shaped. The older hyd units are pretty indestrucable. Please feel free the Email me if you need any other help.
PS I have been selling, installing, and using Western plows for 20 plus years.
