Smile Replacing rear SUB in 98 EB Explorer

I'm in the process of removing the rear sub from my explorer, it is blown. I've removed the panel, the (8) screws and wires. What am I missing !?! The speaker turns but will not come out. It feels like there is something else still connected to the magnet.

Any help would really be appreciated. I've looked in my Chilton Manual (no help) and on the web.

Thank You

Mike

Just replaced my sub...you need to remove the entire sub box because there is a bolt screwed into the magnet. Have to remove the rear panel trim to access the amp/sub box...three screws holding it to the frame, then unscew the the bolt from the magnet...kind of PIA.

Thanks, That's what it was looking like. I just didn't think a manufacturer would do something that stupid. They know people always add their own equipment.
