disappointing Extang RT Tonneu Cover

Disappointed in my new EXtang RT Tonneu Cover. Installed it last night the 1st thing I noticed is the rails sit croocked on the truck bed when tightened down. I even put in those spacer strips and it still is crooked makes it very hard to fasten the cover.

I also could not get the cover installed with the bed liner tailgate guard. It would push up against the cover seal and cause it to be bowed.

Right now very unhappy, I am going to try adjusting it this evening (didn't have time last night). Any suggestion or helpful hints in what I am doing wrong?

Do the bows have different slots? You might have too much tension.

On this cover the bows are in pockets attached to the cover material you can't move them.

Red face Anything new to report?

I was considering one of these covers as a friend has one on his GMC. Now, I'm going to hold off to see how your problem worked out.

i just put on a extang platimum cover and love it. it went on fast and simple. the rails are tight and straight. the directions said to snap the rear on before the sides. i started doing it the other way and had problems. my wife read the instructions and i did it their way, much easier. even with a serious rain the bed stayed dry.
