Bug Guard?

I know I have seen this posted before, but I can't find it now that I am considering a bug guard! I've got a silver 03 Supercrew and I'm trying to decide what would look best on it as far as a bug guard is concerned. I'm thinking about going with the clear one that is painted to match the truck from the back side. Any opinions would be appreciated as to what brands look the best etc!

Thanks,
Jerry

Don't remember what brand mine is, as I originally got it for my 2000, and now its on my 2002. I had it painted at a local body shop, but would have done it myself if I had the time. Painting the back of a clear one sounds like a nice look, but not sure if the paint will stick. I had to lightly sand mine down and primer it before the final paint, which you obviously can't do if you paint the back only. Have pics in my gallery, if you want to take a look.

Thanks!

My old man had one of the clear ones painted to match his truck and it turned out really nice. Good thing about it is that if it get hit with a rock or whatever it doesn't chip the paint. Just trying to decide between the painted look and the regular smoke color.

I guess that's up to personal preference... on my red Ranger I like the smoke color because I am changing the tacky gray detail on the truck to black, and I installed vent shades on the windows, which match the bug guard nicely. I bought an OEM bug guard with the Ford logo on the front... got it on eBay for 20-something.
