Setting timing with Vacuum Gauge
Someone mentioned this the other day.
I'm kinda intrigued by it, as much trouble as people have with timing marks, pins, yada yada yada.....
I've always kind of thought of the vacuum gauge as a miracle tool.
Supposedly it will tell you if your compression is weak, valves shot, valve timing off, who knows what else.
Anybody tried it? If so, did you find a sweeter spot than factory spec?

Vacuum Gauge is a great tool. Great for setting carb idle circuit(s), timing, diagonistic on valves & seats. I have one mounted under the hood along with a temp & oil pressure gauge. They are great for quick tune-up or trying to find problems. Not to mention not having to run back and forth to see what the engines is doing
