pertronix spark plug gap question?

I installed the pertronix ignition on my 1971 300 I-6. What would the spark plug gap be set at using the pertronix? Or, should it remain the same as with the old points and condensor. Thanks.

when I installed Pertronex unit and hotter coil, I opened plug gap to .045 and it runs good and passes annual smog test. I figure in the 6 yrs since I put this stuff in, it has saved me 10 hrs of labor and $100 in points.
