The info is old and very dated. There are other sources much better and informative if you have the interest. Go to the Chevron library, I'm not sure you will live long enough to read all of it and you can also find dated material there as well. Look for the published date and any links to newer/other data.

The Motor Oil Bible has an obvious slant to Amsoil products. I believe the author is an Amsoil distributor or some such, and all of the oil comparisons have Amsoil as the best. It is very interesting reading, if you are really into oil.

The author is a top Amsoil salesman, and some of his information is "slanted" toward, surprisingly, Amsoil products.

I have nothing against Amsoil products. There are alternate choices for less money that will do the same job with the same efficiency and results, and are more readily available.

Well, I can say I despise all MLM companies!!! I have posted this before, the reason for the high price on Amsoil products is due to money going into so many people's pockets, typical of a MLM company. One thing you left out of the disadvantages of Amsoil, is the possibility of your vehicle warranty being void, due to a lot of Amsoil products NOT being API certified!!!

I'm not a dealer and I don't use their products. I just use the test results in the charts to make my decisions along with other sources.

Well, someone better quote us some scripture out of the Motor Oil Bible. Otherwise, what's the point of this thread? Thirteen posts and the Motor Oil Bible has nothing to say? Unless of course it's an indirect way to steer the conversation toward amsoil, then mission accomplished.

Here is a source for some good information on oil and lubrication. Noria Corporation www.noria.com

Go here and you can purchase a book called "How to Select a Motor Oil and Filter for Your Car or Truck" by James Fitch.
www.noria.com/secure/

There are many other good books and articles available there also.

Hope this helps
