what year is it? i have the 72 shop manuals, sometimes the codes are good for a number of years. it looks like a 3.50:1 open gear, what other info are you looking for?

I was wondering if it was a posi. Thanks, when I jacked up the rear, both wheels spun the same way.

not by the tag, but anything can be in there. if it was an original tagged Trac-Loc it would give the ratio as 3 L 50. could be someone put a Trac-Loc carrier in and replaced the tag to let whoever know what gear is in it? or could be someone did a five cent posi? this is just shimming the center tight by putting an extra shim behind the axle side gears. if you jack one tire off the ground, with the trans in park, how hard is it to turn the lifted tire? it should turn with considerable resistance if the clutches are good. listen for chatter or any other noise when it breaks loose.
