Block drain plug

I need help in locating the block drain plug for a good coolant flush on my '94 4.0 in an AWD Aerostar. Has anyone had any sucess or is it nonexistant (Ford cost-cutting) Thanks, Dave

No block drain plug on your '94. The cooling system is drained by way of a petcock located on the bottom of the radiator.

Thanks, quite a bit of coolant remains even when the lower radiator hose is removed, just another " buy a new one" strategy.

try draining it and fill it up with just plain water then start it and keep putting water too it until the thermistat opens and let it circulate a couple times then drain it again... do it a couple times and then drain and fill with 50/50 and your set.
