Thanks, I 'm starting to agree the more I look into it. What I'm experiencing is this. It died on me on the highway. After the tow home I discovered that the metal clip in the rotor broke loose and wasn't sending spark through the cap. I replaced the rotor and also the cap thinking it could have been damaged by the clip flopping around. After installation, my problem now is at a cold start, it fires up and then dies. After a couple of starts it will stay running but at a considerably lower rpm. ( Barely Running). That's why I thought about possibly the EGR. I've removed the Ignition module and had it tested also. It's fine My next step is to trace the plug wiring. Perhaps I screwed up but what puzzles me is it runs smooth once I accelerate. Any suggestions. Codes aren't telling me much

Thanks for the reply. Since my last posting I started searching for the solution and located a small vacuum manifold directly in front of the distributor, coming off the throttle body, that had two lines missing. I found the one and just plugged the other. I must've knocked them off when I originally pulled the distributor cap. It runs like a champ again. Thanks again.
