Has anyone cammed a 3.0?

Put a cam in my other vehicle (starts with a B ends in a k) and WOW what a difference. Want that kinda difference in my Aerostar 3.0. Has anyone had a cam reground/custom ground for the Vulcan 3.0? What specs did you use?

I put a Camcraft regrind in mine. I sent him my cam, he reground it and sent it back. It is running around 15 degrees more duration (210 @ .050"), and .060" more lift than stock(.470"). I am pleased with the difference. Only problem is to totally realize the potential you need to modify the intake manifold. The 50mm throttle body is literally choking the 3.0. I built my own intake and am utilizing a 60mm t'body from a 5.0. Now we are really talking in your face whoopin'.....If you don't want to be down for three weeks, I have a spare cam, lifters, spider and the "dogbones" that keep the lifters from rotating sitting in my garage. Would love to free up the space.....

No formal plans were ever drawn. Just in my head and shoot from hip. Used prebent steel tube of appr .060" wall and had a machine shop make the bottom flange, then I welded it all together. Here is a link to the site my pics are at. Go to member photos. They are listed under 91XCAB. http://communities.msn.com/RangerBill/backup.msnw

What did you use for a throttle body? That's pretty impressive.
