clutch safety switch

how do i bypass this switch to use the key to start my truck? ive tried jumping the termanals to no avail

I don't know what year you are working on, but for most years, Ford used a red/lightblue wire. You should have two red/lightblue wires going to the switch. If you have a later model truck, you will have others too for the cruise control and possibly the computer. You had better leave those alone, but if you twist the two red/lightblue wires together, it should start without pushing the clutch.

Be careful, I suppose you have already realized why they want you to push the clutch pedal in before you crank the engine.

thank you Franklin2 will get it a try,, its a 92, i got mad at it and threw it in the bayou,,,, i know temper, temper, but thanks again
