Angry 2.9 88 Bronco II help

I just purchased a 1988 Bronco 2 2.9. The wires going into the EEC power relay were bare. So with out thinking I started to tape them (forgot about the bat.) and I sparked one of the yellow wires. I now have no fuel pump action. and none of the red wires are hot with the key on. All of the yellow wires are hot all of the time.
Checked fuseable links all that I could find are ok, changed the EEC, swaped out the relay and have kicked myself several times. I am lost please help.

I suspect you've just overlooked a fuse/fusible link. Otherwise, I don't have an easy answer. Get a wiring diagram and a volt/ohmmeter and work your way down the fuel pump circuit until you find where it burned out.

Please look at my other post on Bronco. I put much more detail into it. So far all of the links are ok. I can not find the place that has 7 red wires together.

I don't think that they are all spliced together in the same place necessarily. Remember that wiring diagrams are "schematic" in nature, in that they show the relation of the wiring to other wires/parts, but not always the exact physical layout.

The yellow wire is from the fuse link & is hot at all times. When you turn the key to run 12 volts on red light green closes the EEC relay & the voltage on the yellow passes thru the relay to the dark blue wire (wiring diagram shows dark blue at the relay but beomes red??)
If you are not getting the voltage on dark blue it sounds like that spark might have screwed up the relay, although I dont see why it would. BTW, this wiring diagram is for my 87, but yours should be the same.

Thank you, I will check that out (dark blue) or what ever it is on mine. I do get power to the red green wire with switch on but I have not checked the dark blue? wire.
I can get the pumps to run if I jump the line to the pumps direct to the battery but my EEC can not see it so it will not start even with the pumps running.

Please see my post on Bronco it is more detailed. I am new here so I posted twice. I have been using the other more.

Thank you again.

EEC codes

I got the EEc to code it comes back 96 fuel pump fault. I know that but where man I wish the EEC was just a little smarter or that I was. I Hate electrical problems. I have a 1980 Triumph TR8 (Britsh sports car with Buick/Rover V8 and 4 barrel Holley, very quick) with Lucas electrics and I have been tracking those problems for about a year now and just got them fixed.
Thanks for all the replys I will not give up. Hope you all hang in there with me.
