Question Truck or what?

Hi Guys,

Anybody familiar with the Detroit Iron shop manuals?
I need a manual for my 1978 Ford Ranchero.
I can choose from Ford Trucks and Ford Cars.
Which one do I need???????

Thanx in advance.

I would think it would be cars, since that is the base vehicle for the Ranchero!

the ford factory manuals cover the ranchero in the corresponding year/body style car, like the torino , elite or Tbird.

My 1978 has a 400 engine which was what the F-150's had, so maybe I need both !?

the car manual is more closely related to the ranchero, the engine should be covered in the car manual too. if only the 351M is covered, oh well, it's the same except for two dimensions. you wouldn't be able to tell the two engines apart from pictures. in body and chassis related things, the truck manual is in a different language. truck electrical is different too.
