55 carb problem

I have a 55 317 y block with the stock carb on it. it needs to be rebuilt, but i need to move the truck, so would a newer holley two barrle, like from a 70's engine work? thanks.

I think you are going to find out that the bolt holes don't lin up. Just get the kit at NAPA ($17.50) and swap out the old parts for new. Good luck, John
