Angry Anyone Else Have This Problem?

My 2000 Lightning with 24,000 miles just blew a spark plug out from the right side cylinder head - and it took the threads with it! And guess what, neither my Ford dealer nor Ford Motor Co. accepts responsibility for either not installing the plug correctly or for making a head casting with a defect.

Note that plugs aren't due for replacement till 100K so obviously I had nothing to do with it. I've never raced the truck and my only mod was a 2001 MAS and an air filter. I am very disappointed. This type of problem should not happen in this day and age - and certainly has not with any other make vehicle I've owned. Make parts right and torque them correctly this cannot happen. I hate FORD!

Is mine the only one with this Problem????

This is a common problem, not just on Lightnings. Don't let dealer just install a helicoil. Replacement heads have more threads for spark plugs. Search here or NLOC.net for more details how to get Ford to replace head.

Yeah...seems to be a common problem...Going to Ford with it (corporate lawyer on our side). Second time it's happened to me on same truck.
