tilt steering

Hi All,

I've got a 79 bronco xlt ranger the bloke I brought it of said it has tilt steering,
but for the life of me I can't find where the tilt botton or leaver or what ever you use to move the steering wheel is.
It looks like the the wheel is tilted up so I'd say he was telling the truth.
any help would be great.

thanks Ray71.

Push the turn signal stalk straight forward, toward the dash.

The guy that I bought mine from said that it did not have tilt, but that seemed funny to me for a loaded 1990 XLT, so I read the manual and found that out.

There is no seperate stalk, obviously this fooled you, me, and the guy who had my Bronc before me, among others certainly!

PS - so don't feel bad, the guy that had my Bronc before me used it for a long time and never knew that it had tilt. Luckily for him, the wheel was in the middle position. And I used for a a couple of weeks that way too. But it seemed odd to me that a loaded XLT would not have tilt, also I could see the "seam" on the steering column so it looked like it had tilt. So I checked the manual. I was stoked when I found out that I had tilt, because I use it all the time.

Starnger things have happened though - my friend's brother special ordered a new Cadillac without tilt (it comes standard on Cadillacs) because he had a phobia about it coming apart!

I sure did JBronco, I thought to myself how easy was that.

I've had a look at your gallary The bronco looks good in black and silver and the Springer is great, I've got a 96 low rider myself.

What do you think of this site, I recon it's the best on the web what I've learnt
in the last couple of week about my trucks has saved me heaps in doing it myself. but after saying that I still wasn't able to find the tilt leaver.

This site has helped me a lot, and I do my best to help others. I like the color of my Bronc too. The paint is in OK shape, it could be better but it still has a shine to it. I am not sure if it is original or not.

I need to upload a new pic of the Springer, 've done a lot of changes to it since then.
