Timing Bump

Hey all,
I have a 2002 Mazda B3000. I read something about bumping up the timing in another post. Does this help much with power? If so can someone give me the run down on how to do this. Also, are there any drawbacks to this? Thanks for the help.

Welcome to FTE!

The only way I know of to bump the timing on your '02 would be to get chip or have the PCM re-flashed somehow.

In the event you do add timing, at a minumum you will need to run premium gasoline in order to control detonation (pinging).
