Sliding power drivers seat
I have a new 2004 Escape XLT with the power drivers seat. It slides very slightly front to back when accel. or decel. The dealer says, "it's normal for a light truck" I've never had a power seat move on me. Any truth to the normallity of this? Fixes? Adjusting the gear mesh of the motor?

Dealer (service writer) Is full of it. It shouldnt move. I would escalate the complaint or find another dealer.
Good Luck

if your seat slide/move when driving, it is considered unsafe. Your dealer should fix it under warranty. If they won't fix it for free, go complain to Better Business Bureau.
