Scania S/C on a BBF?
A mate of mine has a supercharger off a 426 Scania Bus engine and wants to see me put it on my 460BB. I know very little about blowers, so I thought I'd ask you folk how it would be done. Like how would I get a manifold made up, and realistically I'm not even sure how to fit it in the engine bay as the bloody things about 1.5ft in diameter. My mates Dad put the same S/C on his landcruiser and it bumped up the horses by 50%. His dad has since passed away and so I cant really get any answers there and I don't know where to start. Can any of you give some pointers here?

ok mate, you will need to fabricate the intake to blower manifold yourself. then you'll need to fabricate a carbie to blower adaptor plate if its a suck-through setup. (I'm assuming its a carbie engine?)
either find someone who can weld, or grab some 6mm plate steel and an arc welder and start it yourself. I am currently fabricating my own adaptor plate for a lightening supercharger, and have a couple of diagrams if you want them. I'll put them on my site if you are interested.
I also have an automatic boost calculator spreadsheet I created.
If you live in Australia you can get you vee belts and crank pulleys made up here :

as for fitting the blower on the engine, there are some pretty large bonnet scoops around, you might want to look into them.

ok xb_aust ;
go to http://www.seanstrucks.netfirms.com
or http://www.seanstrucks.netfirms.com/...ordtrucks.html
there you will find the boost calculator and the diagrams i drew up. nothing fancy. XB falcon hardtop eh? .. nice. fair bit of room in those engine bays. there's a couple of 460's running around NSW with room to spare.
