Howdy all!
Well the total restoration of my 58 has started(again). This is what I'm doing:
replacing the new 223 and trans with a naturally asperated 351W/C6( the fuel injection intake would not fit on my block, try before you buy ), tearing the truck down to bare frame and lifting it about 6-8" so that I can put a dana 44 under the front. The questions I have are what size carb should I run on the 351W? it is bored .60 over and I'm running an offy 360 intake. Nothing has been done to the heads and I'll r un flat top pistons. Also does anyone know any spring shops in southern cali that I can get my arched or get some leafs made? thanks again.

HappyFord,
Somewhere between Palm Springs and Indio (not too far from 29 Palms), there's gotta be a shop that can arch some springs for you. Start with suspension shops in the yellow pages. Even try Midas and the mega-chain stores (usually there's people working there that know of places that do this). If they don't do it, ask them where a place is that does (worst case: Riverside). With all the cruisers and hot rods in that area, you should turn up a place or two w/o much difficulty.
Good luck,
