Painting chrome bumper
My rear bumper has developed a bit of rust and the previous owner left it go too long to be removed. I've got most of it off and the rest is converted to a dark color on top of the chrome.
I was thinking of just painting the whole bumper in a flat black as opposed to rechroming the whole thing.
Are there any special primers I would need to adhere to the chrome?
Any issues with painting chrome in general?

Thanks for the compliments, in fact those pictures are before the paint job. I need to get some new pictures loaded as it looks much better now.
I got the idea when I saw my neighbors new GMC with the flat black diamond bumper and it didn't look half bad. But you're correct, the truck has so much chrome on it now that I really should just get it rechromed to match.
The interior chrome includes the speaker cover, both defroster outlets, the ash tray, the glove box, the strip around the door, around the white door panels, the grill, the wheels and of course all the regular custom cab do-dads.
