radiator removal
Earlier this year, I took my F350 in to the dealer because there was a lot of oil on the intercooler. It turns out that the intercooler had a leak in it and oil taken in from the valve cover breather was getting released onto the intercooler and radiator. At the time, the intercooler was about 1/4 to 1/2 covered with dirty oil. They replaced the intercooler under warranty. On Saturday, I was putting in a transmission cooler, and noticed that when they replaced the intercooler, they didn't clean the radiator, so about 1/4 of the surface area of the radiator is plugged with dirt/oil. I called the dealer, and they said that cleaning the radiator isn't part of replacing an intercooler.
So, I'm a little miffed at the dealer. I didn't buy the truck from them, so I probably don't have much leverage to get them to clean it.
Does any one know how difficult it is to remove the radiator? I guess I will need to pull it myself and clean it.
