What would prompt you to ask such a question?

I think I may be a descendant, too. That would explain why I like to rape, pillage and plunder as much s I do...

Just kidding. But I did love that movie "The 13th Warrior." If you haven't seen it, it is very good, and one of those movies that gets better when you watch it over and over.

Mmmmmmmm...Plunder...

Viking are a really fascinating people, if any of you enjoy reading go out and pick up some of the classic sagas. I'm sicilian and I have to say those vikings do revenge pretty well. It's pretty amazing how technologically advanced the longboat was for the time.

Can only trace back to Revolutionary war - have an ancestor who fought in 6 battles with George Washington, including Trenton. He even fought in 1812 War when he was an old fogey. Wish I could say the Vikings were in the family tree, but would only be guessing (lots of Swedish, English, & Norwegians, however).

Nobody in my family knows anything about our ancestory. Supposedly we can be traced way back to N. American Indians but that's about all I know.

I was watching the History Channel last night. I thought it was neat when they went up the river to Paris. They received a ton of gold to leave and not come back.

My dads family comes from Norway and Sweden, so it is a possibility. Although no one has been able to trace it nowhere near that far back. My last name comes from the Swedish city my great-great-great-grandfather came from. He changed it when he immigrated.
