While sitting at an idle the engine momentarily shuts down almost stalling and then comes back to an idle. Any thoughts??

It could be the CPS (Cam Positioning Sensor) or the TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor). Try scanning the computer for trouble codes. Your truck uses an OBD II diagnostics system which will detect any problems.

Welcome to FTE.

Since the CPS is so cheap now just replace it. The Ford dealers are selling this part very cheap due to a recall, CLICK HERE, that just happened. Get 2 and keep one in the glove box. It can fail without warning and leave you stranded.
They are around $25 (vs. $150 they used to be) and easy to change. It's located on the front of the engine @ about 10 o'clock position on the crank damper. Keep us posted.

I would also unplug the ICP sensor & see if it is leaking oil from the sensor....
