92 diesel to 97 PSD conversion

Am looking at converting my 92 7.3 and replacing it with a 97 power stroke which I can get if I want it. My question is what all wil need to be done/conversion kit? or just replace everything. ie harness, computer and all that. Is this idea even worth it? My 92 only has 88,000 mi on it, it just seems not to have the power and speed for what I do on the farm. I know the PSD does. Or if not the conversion what should I look into doing to my truck? Turbo? anything else? any help will be appreciated.

If you have a lot of time and money to spare then you can switch them. You will need to use the firewall and the entire dash from the donor truck. ALL of the wiring needs to be changed out and you will need to find a place up front to mount the intercooler. The engine is very similar in size and will bolt right into your existing mounts with little effort. If it was me, I would not do the switch because, I don't like the electronics on the powerstrokes, and I would not want to get into that much wiring. I would recommend getting a turbo and then turning up your fuel slightly. The 6.9's and 7.3's are plenty powerful with a turbo, unless you are trying to pull a house down.
