I'm second level, i took 2 years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic through Cambrian College in Sudbury,Ontario. You gain to 2nd level if u signed up for this stupid skytech thing. Which i did.
You did a pre-app in Ontario? I'm not sure, but I don't think your apprenticeship will be transferable to BC. Most likely you'll have to take an exam, and have an interview with a counsellor. The exam score and the interview can put you in 2nd year, but worst case scenario is you may have to start over in 1st year. To prevent "starting over," I would recommend staying in Ontario until you get your IP, then come out here.
Have you got any "real" world experience, or do you get second year automatically after a pre-app?
