I've got a '99 Trek 820 w/ RockShox Judy T2 fork, upgraded Mavic wheels, and Shimano XT brakes. Of course, I have ridden the thing since I got into Kite Landboarding. Much more exciting to me...

In Texas We have an annual bike ride called "The hotter than Hell 100" which takes place in August. Thousands show up to ride the 100 or the shorter courses. My son has ridden it three times, the first time he completed the 100 on a mountain bike, the next year he finished it on a road bike and the third year he quit after 5 flats. If you like to sweat and want a challenge, come on down.

It's one of my hobbies. I have a 98' Trek 6000 with a couple of upgrades. I've been thinking of buying a new bike. Looked at a couple of Specialized, an HM, and a few others but I'll probably keep what I've got. I've got too many hobbies. Last week, I had trouble keeping up a friend of mine's girlfriend. I probably need to bike more.

hmm alot of people have Trek's i think they are the best selling top end bike is the U.S. I like trek just that they don't have too many downhill, or freeride bikes. The diesel is the only one that they have, if they still make it. My friend has a Trek VRX, broke the swing arm twice, that was the down fall of those bike. Everyone i know broke the swing arm. You can position the rear shock to 3 settings cross country, all conditions, and downhill. Bad idea saying it was a downhill bike by simply switching the shock position. Trek makes good cross country bikes, and road bikes.

I'm into biking. My bike was sort of high end when I got it but that was awhile back.

Cannondale with Ultegra, Rolf Vetor-Pro
A tandem and what I call a wet bike…for riding in down pours.
Yeti you are so correct, you build them…….some take years to get just right

You see hondas bike........ that will do a **** kicking to Shimano, and SRAM. No more deraillers which i think it is a good thing. I went through enough deraillers in life.

I got a Giant "Rock" just a couple weeks ago. I got my wife one too.

They're not top end by any stretch of the imagination. Just something to get us both out riding again. We'll probably graduate into something with a full suspension in a couple years. Maybe not. I ride just for the fun of it.

Right on, Tim.

The last bike I had was an 18" Mongoose Alta, got it in 88, was stolen in 89. I've been bikeless the "Rock."

Anyway, the way I see it is a bicycle will go where my truck can't or won't.
I'll have to start a new thread on "Where have you ridden your bike lately"

I ride about 4k a year, not very much in reality but it is great fun.
NM has about 320 sun shine days a year, so it is easy to find a reason to ride.
Now if I could just get someone to ride the tandem with!
